TIM HANSEN – DIRECTOR

Tim has over 11 years’ experience as a consulting civil/structural engineer in the design and delivery of infrastructure, industrial, commercial, and residential projects. Tim has extensive experience working in and around North Queensland’s tropical climate and conditions, as well as experience throughout wider Queensland, Australia, and Papua New Guinea. Throughout Townsville and North Queensland, Tim is known in the engineering community and to his clientele as a reliable, practical, and dependable engineer.

Tim’s skillset includes civil and structural design, load rating and condition assessment, project management, contract administration, construction verification, independent verification/owner’s engineer and more. Tim is a highly competent engineer with a deep understanding of earthworks, foundations, steel and concrete structures. He has successfully delivered projects ranging from small residential refurbishments to multi-million-dollar infrastructure upgrades and prides himself on his practical, considered, and wholistic advice.

ETHAN FARRELL – SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Ethan has over five years’ experience in structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, masonry, steel, and timber structures. His experience includes Water and Sewer Infrastructure, Single and Multi-Level Buildings, Industrial Buildings/Sheds and Steel Support Framing, Bridges and Culverts, and Liquid Retaining Structures. He has also developed his technical skills with structural analysis and design software including Space Gass and Strand 7.

NICK HANSEN – SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

Nick has worked on a variety of civil infrastructure projects over the past seven years and has gained a wealth of experience spanning multiple large-scale civil design and construction projects, requiring road, earthworks, pavement and drainage design. His working history includes the complete spectrum of project phases, with a dependable ability to successfully deliver planning / conceptual project designs through to construction finalisation.

Proficient in civil engineering and coordination of design teams, Nick enjoys identifying the optimum solutions for his projects through challenging individual project scenarios and elements of design. He is adept at considering the project as a ‘whole’ whilst also analysing interdisciplinary inputs to coordinate successful project outcomes.

JONO HEALY – SENIOR STRUCTURAL DRAFTSMAN

Jono has over 10 years’ experience of structural drafting and building information modelling including extensive experience in the commercial buildings industry; having delivered dozens of multi disciplinary projects. His role includes coordination with project architect, building designer, clients, and other consultants, and incorporating project specific challenges and requirements to develop plans and documentation to a high standard.

DEAN CAMPBELL – GRADUATE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Dean has recently graduated from James Cook University and commenced his career at Hansen Engineering Group. He received the Dr Jonathon Harris Scholarship, the Brian Eaton Rail Engineering Prize and Professor Lal Chand Wadwha Prize for Civil Engineering for his outstanding academic performance throughout his degree. Dean has a keen interest in sustainable and innovative concrete technologies; his Honours thesis examined the use of graphene additives to concrete mixes.
