Palmer and Ross Transit Corridor Upgrade
Hansen Engineering Group was engaged by Port of Townsville to undertake comprehensive planning, design, and construction support services for the Palmer and Ross Street Transit Corridor Upgrade. The project involves the redevelopment of approximately 400m of foreshore, including shared pathways, boardwalks, revetments, and landscaping between the Car Passenger Ferry Terminal and the proposed City Waterfront Promenade works along Palmer and Flinders Streets. The project is part of the wider Priority Development Area (PDA) initiative and is critical to improving connectivity, public realm, and activation of the Ross Creek foreshore precinct in Townsville’s CBD.
